Registration for a Heartland Cyber Range CTF Event
Start by finding the Registration Code for the event
Participants should have a registration code that has been provided by the event. Begin by clicking the "Register" link at the right edge of the menu.

What do I need to provide for registration?
- Participants will need to enter a valid username.
- The HCR will not tolerate profane or inappropriate language here or anywhere on this platform.
- Participants using language deemed profane or inappropriate will risk being disqualified from the competition.
- Participants should enter a valid school (preferred) or personal email address.
- Participants should enter an effective password that they will keep secure and is easy to remember.
- Finally, enter the registration code that was provided by the event.
- Click "Submit."

That's it!
If you see the following graphic, that means that you've registered but the event hasn't yet begun. Check the home page to confirm operational times for the event.

From here, you can click the EKC logo to be directed to the home page, you can view these instructions, you can view the list of users or the scoreboard, or you can begin answering challenges, if the event has begun.
Participants will not have the ability to update or edit usernames, or passwords. Once created, passwords cannot be read or confirmed by the HCR CTF team, they can only be reset. Any participant needing their password to be reset should contact the event and request they email the HCR CTF team.
If there are any questions about this process, please send an email.
